Post Operative Instructions following a tooth removal

• Bite on the placed cotton for minimum 45minutes
• After removal of the cotton have cold foods like ice water, ice cream (Do not use a straw)

Following instructions to be followed for the next 24hours post operative

• Do not gargle,spit or disturb the area with tongue,finger or tooth brush
• Keep swallowing your saliva
• Soft ,bland, swallowable room temperature diet
• Do not consume anything hot,spicy or chewable
• No vigorous exercise
• Do not use straw
• Take medications according to the prescribed schedule
• After 48hours use salt water or mouth wash to gargle minimum once a day to promote healthy healing
• In case of continuous bleeding or severe pain contact your Dentist immediately
